Vegetarian Festival

In southern has the interesting festival that I will present it to you. Vegetarian Festival is held annually in October, during a period of nine days. The people who want to participate in the festival, they will dress all white and abstinence from eating meat, alcohol, and even dairy products. This is called ‘gin-je’ The restaurant which has a yellow flag with the written red chinese word 齋 means the participants can eat the food of that restaurant, no meat and dairy products. 

Moreover, the amazing part of  this festival is the spectacular displays of awe-inspiring religious rituals such as walking on fire, impling the body parts for made the vegetarian believe their god and ancestors

The most popular province of this festival is Phuket province and they will takes place at all 25 shrines across the island. Many participants are expected to turn up the street procession rituals in town in the last three days.

And this year, this festival will take place on Sunday, September 29 to Monday, October 7
